The British Community’s annual fund-raising blockbuster event for Thai charities was held again this year on Saturday 26th November at the new venue, Bangkok Patana School.With amazing enthusiasm and resourcefulness, Bangkok Patana School became the venue for the 2011 Ploenchit Fair only ten days before the event! Due to flooding concerns the planned venue - Shrewsbury School - withdrew its facilities less than two weeks before show time!
(We are delighted to report that all at Shrewsbury remain safe and dry as their flooding fears were not realised).
It seemed it was a record crowd that came to Soi Lasalle for one of the jolliest, noisiest, happiest, funniest, most successful Ploenchit Fairs of recent years. Bangkok Patana School turned out to be an excellent venue and were excellent hosts. It was really hard to imagine that the decision to have the first Patana Ploenchit Fair was taken but ten days earlier.
